Thanks Sis

For her birthday, Girlie received some new decor for her room so that the baby Pooh stuff can finally come down. Mommy (having very little experience in decorating) was stumped in what to do with it, so Auntie to the rescue. After initially shooting down the idea, Mommy (having slept on it) decided to use Auntie's idea. Auntie was also very helpful with assisting Mommy in moving the room around. Thank you, Sissy!!!

Now that all of the company has come and gone and Mommy is slowly recovering from being sick, she has the opportunity to post some pictures from Girlie's birthday party. It appeared that fun was had by all, and everyone escaped unscathed. So until next year...

American Idol

I normally don't post anything outside of pictures and stuff, but I had to take the time to comment about American Idol. Not too impressed this year, and I hope that it gets better. So I'm taking this quick opportunity to post my top four. Since the judges did 13, I'm allowed to do four instead of three. These are in no particular order just random.

Danny Gokey

Kris Allen

Lil Rounds

Matt Giraud

Why only one girl among three guys? 1) there are only five girls in the top 13, 2) Lil is the only girl I've been really impressed with 3) I'm not keen on the idea of underage contestants and two of the girls are. So there you have it! Dawn's top four! Take it for what it's worth...a whole whopping $.10!!

Pics of the girlie's birthday party is coming soon. Mommy is under the weather and there are A LOT of pictures to upload!

Well the Girlie's birthday was certainly a lot of f-u-n! She started off with another "snow day" so that meant she got to spend the day at home with Mommy! But the real fun didn't start until Daddy came home. She opened one gift from Mommy and Daddy then was chauffered to Red Robin for her birthday dinner. Not only was she super excited to meet Red Robin and eat at his establishment, but she was joined by her bestest friend in the whole wide world, Ellie!!! That's right Ellie, Kim, and Tim joined the fam to help celebrate Girlie's birthday! What a treat it was to watch those two interact.

After dinner Mommy and Daddy took the sleepy Girlie home to one last fun event before bedtime. Cake. It was actually chocolate chip cookie dough brownies to be exact, but she enjoyed it just the same. She even blew out the candles all by herself!!!! After the joyful day everyone was very exhausted and ready to get some sleep to start over the next day with more adventures to be had by all.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl

It is hard to believe that four years have gone by already. What a little joy you are to have around, Baby Girl. You definitely have made life interesting. To watch you grow and learn new things has become something to really get excited about. To view the job of parenting you as a stewardship has been a challenge, but I know that the Lord does all things for our good and that you are. Thank you Lord for letting her live. Thank you for the four years we have had together and for however many more you have chosen. We love you Baby Girl!!! Happy Birthday!!

Hallelujah!!!

Jebus has risen!!!

And Yet Another Snow Day...

Yes, you are seeing correctly that is Mommy's Purdue scarf and Tigger hat that was used A LOT in college. It just goes to show how much she uses it here. :)

We finally got some good, wet, packing snow so that Mommy could spend an hour making up a very skinny snowman. Oh well, what do you expect when there is no help to be had? So where was my helper?

That's right, she was inside staying toasty warm. Daddy decided to be the one person in town who actually went to work today, so it was just us girls in our undertaking. To give some props to the girlie, she did last about 15 minutes and tried to shovel some snow into her bucket, then decided better of it and went inside. So the guess is that she probably is the smarter one around here. :) Tomorrow is a big day and hopefully we'll be able to celebrate at school with a fun party!!

They told us 8+ but it's probably more like 2-3 inches. You can see my paths through the yard to make my snowman. Oh well, there's always next year.
