Field Trip

Emma and her friend

The girlie and her pumpkin

Emma's class took a field trip to...the pumpkin patch. That's right, Emma got to go to the pumpkin patch twice! Although this trip was very rainy, so it was very short. The kids got off the bus, went to the area with the already picked pumpkins, got a pumpkin, and got back on the bus. We were there maybe 30 minutes total. The kids didn't care though. They got to go to the pumpkin patch. For some of them, it was the first time to ride a bus. You couldn't help but be excited with them. Can't wait for the next field trip.

Pumpkin Patch

Posing with the bunny

She tried feeding the pony a piece of wood. We told her that the horse wouldn't eat it, but then of course it did. Silly parents.

Petting a pony

Such a big girl

Look, pumpkins!

Got my pumpkin

Walking through the maze

This year we were more on the ball and made it to the pumpkin patch before the day before Halloween. We decided to go to Hodges Farm to visit the animals, do a maze, and, of course, pick some pumpkins. Since it was a Saturday, it was very busy, but we all still had a lot of fun. The girlie didn't get to go on the bounce house b/c it was very full, but she didn't seem to mind too much. The girlie picked out her own pumpkin and helped Mommy and Daddy pick out there's. The maze wasn't very impressive, but the girlie loved leading Mommy and Daddy around and around.

Buddy Walk

It's Buddy Walk time again! We had such a great turn out this year. Not only did our team, Emma's Ambassadors, have a good turn out, but overall the DSAC exceeded this year's goal. Yea!!! It was a warm day, but Emma enjoyed herself on all of the bounce games and sharing an Italian Ice with her friend, Kate. Such an awesome day!!

Apple Picking

Our little family took our annual trip up to Sky Top Orchard to go apple picking. This year we were blessed to have the Bumgarner family join us. The day was very warm, and there weren't too many apples to be found, but we had a blast anyway! We ended the day with a yummy dinner at Cracker Barrel. Such a wonderful day!

Labor Day Parade

Her first parade

Sir Purr

This is how she spent a lot of the parade. We're not quite sure why.

The Pink House Project that J.E. Dunn is working on with the local BCF.

Life is good.

You gotta have Shriners!!

I know that I am way behind, but I will get caught up...eventually.
We took the girlie to Matthews for their Labor Day parade and festival. This was Emma's first parade, and she did pretty well. Unfortunately, we ended up sitting in the sun, so it was a bit warm. Other than that it was great! The girlie didn't care for the bands as they marched by playing, but after a couple of them passed, she didn't mind them so much. We topped it off w/ lunch at McDonald's. Every little kid's favorite!!!!
