Swim Lessons

Emma and Ellie started swim lessons. Not sure if the poor instructor had any clue as to what she was getting herself into. The fearful and the fearless! Oye, what a combo! They're private lessons, so it is just the two girls with the instructor. Her name is Kristen and she does an awesome job with the girlies! The first lesson she spent evaluating what the girls could do and what they are capable of doing. Now she is building off of that. Both the girls really seem to be enjoying themselves. Emma really loves trying to do the kicking and making bubbles (with her mouth). Big kudos to Kim for taking the pics!!

Our "Star" Athlete

So maybe she's not the fastest. She didn't even get to compete at all! (She was sick!) But in our hearts, she's our star!!!

Note: she kept walking around the house with her arms up in the air because she didn't know what to do with such longggg sleeves! :)

Father's Day

So what did you do on Father's day? Daddy had to serve at church, so Mommy and Emma bought him donuts to take with him for breakfast. After church, Daddy received his cards and his gift, Tony Dungy's memoir. For an early dinner/late breakfast, we took Daddy to Bob Evans (his favorite restaurant). Then to close out the day, Daddy, Mommy, and Emma took a trip to CLT. It's so relaxing and fun to watch the arrivals and departures. Although traffic stopped at about 7:20, so we called it a day...got home just in time for Emma to go to bed. Oh, and a little side note...Emma ate more than all of us at Bob Evans. That girl likes her breakfast!!

New Kicks

Emma is free of her old AFOs for her shoes. She now has an insert for her shoes to give just a slight bit of support on her arch and ankle. Mommy was so excited that she was able to go to Super Target and buy regular tennis shoes! Yes, you read correctly. Mommy was thrilled to buy shoes for the girlie that cost less than a new pair of jeans! So bye, bye AFOs!!! They did an amazing job, but we're so ready to move on!

The old AFOs

Also, a little side note. A big THANKS to all those who suffered through the heat to go to my surprise party! Boy, a surprise it was!!! I'd post pics, but since I didn't know about it I had no camera! So anybody who took pictures, please make me a copy. Thanks again everyone! Love you all!!!!

Pretend Play

Emma has slowly become interested in pretend play. She'll cook in her kitchen, play with her Mickey Mouse, vaccum the floor (that'll be handy when she's older!), or now she has started to do a little bit of dress up.

Please note that she is not only wearing an oven mitt on her foot, but she has her pajama bottoms on wrong-side out and backwards. On the plus side, she got the pajamas on by herself! Mommy only helped to get them over her shorts.
