Is This Baghdad?

No, we're not in Baghdad! As part of the race weekend and in honor of what this weekend is suppose to be about, there were helicopter flyovers on Saturday and Sunday. So this is just a glimpse of what it would be like to live in Iraq. Fortunately for us, there was no gun fire with it or worries about anything of the sort occurring.

Please take the time to reflect on what today represents. Not only the servicemen and women who are serving today, but have done so in the past so that you may live a life of freedom!

Go Kasey!

I have to give a shout out to Kasey for winning the Coca-Cola 600 last night! After being winless for 52 races, he outlasted them all for 600 miles! His last win was the Coca-Cola 600 in 2006! Plus, he won the fan vote to enter the All-Star race the weekend before and won! Only driver to have ever won the race that was voted in by the fans! Congrats Kasey!

What Pneumonia?

So the girlie is FINALLY doing better. She has started to get her appetite back (with a vengance)! Thanks to our friends, they let us borrow a little slide for girlie to play on. No problem! Girlie loved it!! Only she had to learn the hard way NOT to sit on the back, gray part of the slide. Thankfully it's only about 2 feet off the ground. Thanks to all who prayed for us during this time. Mommy, Daddy, and Emma feel that your prayers are what got us through this past week!!!

Balls, balls, and more balls...mwahahahahaha!!!

As a belated birthday present, Mommy and Daddy got girlie a little ball pit w/ balls! When deciding to make this purchase, it was unclear as to whether or not girlie would enjoy it or if it would become another toy that was played with for 5 minutes and now it's collecting dust in the corner. Well, enjoyment was had by all and this will become a sure-fire treat for the girlie since she isn't allowed to have it out every day.

Happy Birthday Bailey!

Our Bailey boy turns 7 years old today! It seems like only yesterday he was a little kitten running around our apartment in Lafayette. Now he's a big, puking, very dependent tom cat who loves his mommy but does not like his sister. He's a really good only "child". Just wait til she's old enough to play dress up with him. :)

I Do It

So the girlie took Mommy to the park on Saturday to have a fun day of play while Daddy was away. Mommy had been told by her teacher how well she was doing but didn't fully comprehend until...
