Peas Please!!

In our house it is not an unknown thing that Mommy is a picky eater. It is also very well known that the girlie is NOT a picky eater (although last month she decided that she doesn't like broccoli - a girl after your own heart K). However we have found a food in the Holbrook house that the girlie absolutely loves, Mommy will tolerate and Daddy has to choke down two bites while trying not to throw up. Yes, that's right...peas! Who would've thunk it, but it has happened...a food that Daddy cannot even tolerate but will gag down for the sake of the girlie. What daddies won't do for their little girls?!

But what good would all this talking be without actually documenting it. Yep, us Holbrooks' like to take the candid shots of the girlie eating peas and licking the table. Life in the Holbrook house is never boring indeed.

mmmm...peas!!

cheese! girlie's "cheese" face.

please, sir, can i have some more?

nevermind i found some.

Meet Ruff-Ruff

After a loooonng time coming, there is finally a new addition to the Holbrook house. Emma actually picked him out last week, so sorry for the delayed post. He's a good mix of everything. He's housebroken, and he's quiet. Emma was scared of him at first, but she's slowly warming up to him. She played with him yesterday quite a bit actually. Emma got to name him, so he is now Ruff Ruff or just Ruff. Bailey tends to keep his distance, but they get along pretty well. It seems that Bailey likes anything that will draw Emma's attention away from him. So here he is: our newest addition Ruff.

O-R-E-O

The girlie LOVED having Oreos for a snack. She got them in a treat bag from school during Halloween, so she was able to enjoy them after nap time as a special snack. She gobbled them up quickly and was very disappointed that the bag was empty. Oh well, there's always next time.

Monkey Joe's

Yyou can't see it, but there is a mommy on the other side throwing the girlie up onto the slide so that she could go down it. She loved this maze but needed help. Mommy definitely needed more energy to keep throwing her up there.

Today Emma and Ellie took their mommies (& the boys) to Monkey Joe's for a fun, fun time of playing and exerting lots and LOTS of energy. The girlie had such a good time with her friend and did so wonderful in all of the little play areas. It made this Mommy teary-eyed to watch her do so much! What a big girl she has become! Mommy is so proud of how far you've come in just 3 1/2 short years. Oh what joys lie ahead for us with you!!!

Trick or Treat

The princess!

Sorting through the candy.

Mommy took away my candy so that I could go to bed!

Our pumpkin!!

The girlie LOVED trick or treating last night. She knocked on every door and peered in to make sure that someone was coming to answer the door. Upon the owner opening the door, she would then proceed to just walk in like she always visited this particular house. Everybody loved her, of course who doesn't. When Mommy and girlie got home, the girlie then divided up her candy between herself, Mommy and Daddy. So proud that she wanted to share! Not many a people would want to share candy... this Mommy included! :) All in all it was an enjoyable evening. The girlie had fun and so did Mommy and Daddy.
