Hedwig is Back!

Yes, to all those who were concerned about little Hedwig, he is alive and well. This year he even has a little friend! He keeps an eye on us but definitely isn't shy about getting close. He enjoys perching on the swing set to search for food. So excited to see him come home! More pics from Indiana to come...just had to add this sidebar.

what mischief will be had! We were able to spend a day with Kurt, Jennifer, Haley, Gramma, and Papa Holbrook. The cousins played well together, and the brothers did okay together. ;-) (as well as brothers can behave!)

Crazy acrobatics!!

Our first trip of the summer took us to the great state of Indiana. We drove up Thursday evening (very late!) and woke up refreshed and excited for what the new day had in store. Papaw, Daddy, Mommy, and Emma went to this air show down near Indianapolis. Friday is practice day, so it was very relaxed. The airplanes practiced their acts, while the emcees worked out the kinks in the monitors and music. Overall it was a great day! The Blue Angels were going to be there to perform, but it was getting late in the day and we were all getting tired. The girlie did fantabulous for no nap the day before, late getting to bed, and late nap in the car on the way home. Personally I think she was just excited to see Mamaw, Papaw, and Puppy! Surprise Surprise Surprise

Nathan received an early birthday surprise from his girls for his 30th birthday! All of his friends and his parents were invited to come watch him strap in and exceed speeds of 150 mph in a dragster ride-along experience. What an exciting time it was!!! He knew something fishy was going on, but he had no idea exactly what was about to take place...

Strawberry Fields Forever

Saturday we hopped in the car and headed up to Carrigan Farms to pick us some yummy strawberries. Emma liked picking but didn't get the concept of "be gentle", so lots of yummy strawberries were smushed in her little hands. Also some didn't make it out of the field without going directly into her tummy. Overall a good visit, lots of strawberries, and Emma has a new favorite word "strawberry".
