Thumbs Up!

I guess there are worse things that a Daddy can teach his Baby Girl while Mommy is away!! She even says "thumbs up"!!

Have a Mickey Birthday!

It would be a long story to explain how this was the most stress-free birthday party I've had for the girlie so far, but it was. The girls all seemed to have a good time, and it was so fantastic to watch the girlie participate in the games and play with her friends and just be well...normal.

If you can't tell by the pictures, she had a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday party. Boy did the house look like a clubhouse from Mickey and all his friends on the wall, to the Handy Helpers, and there were also streamers and balloons hanging everywhere!! Thanks to all our friends for making it a special day!

The highlight for me: watching the girlie BLOW out her candles. If you don't understand, that's okay just ask and I'll tell you!

We'll Miss You, Miss Meredith!!!

Miss Meredith has been our rock of a case manager for the past three years. She has fought with us for services, answered my billions of questions, and listened to my complaining over and over again. What would we have done without you? Thank you, Miss Meredith, for your love to our Baby Girl! Now that Emma is in school, we no longer get to see Miss Meredith, but we'll never forget you!!

Happy Birthday!!

Today we celebrate Emma's 3rd birthday. How blessed we are to be able to celebrate this day! Emma is such a joy in our lives, and praise God that she is still with us today! Happy birthday, Baby Girl!

First Day of School!

It is hard to believe that this day has finally arrived! Emma did wonderful in her new class! It was so neat to see her just take off and start playing with her new friends, then when picking her up, seeing her walk out of the school with her backpack on like she was big stuff!!! Kudos to Miss Katie for having a heart for special children just like our Emma girl!! Congrats Big Girl!!

To Nathan

My husband will be the first one to admit that he is not romantic. In fact, he will work harder not to even have to try than to attempt to be romantic. He believes that Valentine's day was created by the chocolate and card people to make more money. I would agree to a certain extent, but I would hope that one day out of the year would be it in the romance department. All of that aside, my husband stepped out of his comfort zone and did something so amazing it still makes me teary-eyed. He wrote me a letter. I know, I know he also made me dinner and gave me a rose, but the best part of it all was the letter. I'm not going to go into what it said, but he told me exactly what I needed to hear at this point in time. A letter. That's all. It was cheap. It was easy, and it was the best gift of the day. Thank you my CH!!

Our Big Girl

It is hard to believe that our Emma is almost three. The time has gone too quickly. We even met with the school today, and she will start school exactly on her birthday...3/3!! However to take a step back, over the weekend the girlie was initiated into a (ta da!) big girl bed. Now Emma is the big stuff, and she will let you know it too. So far the transition has been relatively smooth...thank you Lord!! Hopefully she will continue to do well with this change.
