F-I-V-E!

Our Baby Girl turns five today! Five. Looking at this picture of the day she was born, it is so amazing that she has come so far, so fast. I can remember praying and praying for her to live, and I am very thankful that the Lord blessed us and allowed her to stay with us.
This morning while I was getting Emma ready for school, I had to stop to sing "Happy Birthday". I asked her who's birthday was today, in which she replied, "Emma birthday!".
Thank you, Lord, for giving us this sweet girl. Thank you that we have been blessed with five of the craziest yet wonderful years! I know that You are the Giver of Life, and You chose to give us this precious girl. Thank you for the challenges! Thank you for the joy! Thank you for Emma!

For Miri

Love, Emma

More Snow!

She loved kicking the ball, but she loved kicking the snow more.

Throwing snowballs

We got another round of snow just a couple of weeks after getting some. That must be some kind of record down here, but either way it was nice to see. It was a typical Carolina snow in that it was melted by the afternoon, but there was just enough time for a certain girlie and her Daddy to go out to play. Mommy did not participate this time since she has been under the weather. We got a total of two inches, and it was the light powdery snow.

No School

Just wanted to show what it looks like here when they cancel school. Yeah, I know.

Day 2 - Snow

Our little snow family minus Bailey (Emma put the snow ball on top of her "head")

Our Snow Family!

Emma enjoyed the snow a LOT better Sunday afternoon. She took her little bucket and shovel and went to town digging in the snow. Also because the snow melted a little, we were able to make a snow family. We had a Daddy, Mommy, Emma and Bailey! We spent an hour and a half outside playing. We were all soaked through by the time we can inside. What a fun day for our little family!

Snowed In

The tee - you had to putt the ball over both pillows and under the chair to hit Mickey which was on the other side.

After you hit Mickey, you had to putt the ball under the bridge

Then you had to hit the cat and then get the ball into the gator. Good luck!

Sunday morning it was too cold to go outside to play in the snow, so we just bunkered down and had fun indoors. Emma received a little golf game for Christmas called Gator Golf. The point of the game is to putt the ball into the gator's mouth, and he flips it back at you w/ his tail. Well, that's all good but let's get a little bit more creative. So we set up our own little putt putt course in the house. Daddy and Mommy took turns setting up a different "green" to try to get par. The first two we tried weren't too difficult, but the last set up was a lot more challenging. The lowest we could get was an eight! Emma just enjoyed trying each task. What a blast!
