Day 2 - Snow
Emma enjoyed the snow a LOT better Sunday afternoon. She took her little bucket and shovel and went to town digging in the snow. Also because the snow melted a little, we were able to make a snow family. We had a Daddy, Mommy, Emma and Bailey! We spent an hour and a half outside playing. We were all soaked through by the time we can inside. What a fun day for our little family!
Snowed In
Sunday morning it was too cold to go outside to play in the snow, so we just bunkered down and had fun indoors. Emma received a little golf game for Christmas called Gator Golf. The point of the game is to putt the ball into the gator's mouth, and he flips it back at you w/ his tail. Well, that's all good but let's get a little bit more creative. So we set up our own little putt putt course in the house. Daddy and Mommy took turns setting up a different "green" to try to get par. The first two we tried weren't too difficult, but the last set up was a lot more challenging. The lowest we could get was an eight! Emma just enjoyed trying each task. What a blast!
Snow!
It actually snowed here in Charlotte! We got enough to cover most of the grass between the snow and sleet. First day wasn't too much fun because the snow wasn't packable. Emma didn't enjoy the snow too much. She mostly just stood there unless we walked her along w/ us in the snow. She'll get use to it...eventually.

Merry Christmas
Today started the beginning of the second semester of school, and things will be getting back to normal soon, hopefully.
Christmas was wonderful this year! Emma has discovered presents. Yes, she woke up Christmas morning and looked at all of the gifts under the tree, and she was ready to unwrap immediately. However Mommy and Daddy were a couple of meanies and made her wait until after breakfast. She responded well by being appeased of opening her stocking from Gramma and Papa, who had arrived the day before. Daddy read from the book of Luke, and then FINALLY Emma got to open her gifts. She not only opened her presents but everyone else's as well. It was a nice, relaxing day filled w/ love, laughter and family! So thankful to have the girlie w/ us another year!
