Everybody enjoys the tree!

It was awesome to see Emma wanting to participate in the decorating of the tree this year. In the past, she has always taken on the role of supervisor rather than participant, and she did so well placing the ornaments on the tree. Of course the ornaments were all on the same branch, but it was still too cute to watch!!!

In the barn, pony rides were being offered. This was the first time Emma rode one. I think that her face says it all!

The day after Thanksgiving, we took our annual trip to the mountains w/ the Balts family. Grandma and Papaw Savage joined us for the adventure this year, and what an adventure it was! It was cold!!!! We have experienced every type of weather possible when going on these crazy trips up the mountain to retrieve our beautiful Christmas tree. One year it was almost 70 degrees and this year there was chance of snow! Gotta love NC!

Discovery Place

So it has been a while since we've posted anything, but have no fear!!!! We are still here and have a lot of pics coming!

First is Emma's trip to Discovery Place. Emma was off on Fall Break, and for a little day out, we went with Kim, Ellie, and the boys. Everybody had fun and was exhausted at the end of the time! (Even the Mommies!)

Discovery Place is a children's museum located in downtown Charlotte. They have play areas, exhibits, and interactive learning tools. Lots of stuff to play with!!!

Trick or Treat

Unfortunately, it started to rain when Emma was getting her costume on to go trick or treating. Fortunately, the heavy rain held off until after she came home. So there aren't any pictures of her during the big event, but we were able to get some cute pictures of her before she went out w/ Daddy!!

A Treat for All

Emma received a fun treat that is a little healthier than candy. It was a basket of fruit w/ a fun Halloween balloon! Everybody has been able to enjoy!

Carving Ye Olde Pumpkin

With Daddy being out of town this week, we didn't get a chance to carve our pumpkins until Halloween morning. Daddy carved, Emma colored, and Mommy took pictures to commemorate the occasion!! Daddy went all out this year in his pumpkin carving skills. I have no idea how we're going to top it next year.
